The half-way climb Has brought me here Where willows sing A plaintive lullaby And dewdrops taste Of orange-blossom nectar In a golden cup. After this restful interlude I will climb Jade Mountain’s other half. Should I find you are not there, I will stand the summit air And breathe to you A wistful song of waiting.
