[一間房間]

一扇窗使這房間攤在
世人面前。照進來的月光
還想知道更多事情。
「已經在這生養了五個孩子，
我是其中之一！」

我母親在啜泣中入睡，
監獄再嘈雜始終是寂寥的，
我爸自個兒無聊地躺著
眼睛盯著石牆上十釘字架的人！

周遭的世界在自殺！
我向別的叔姑姨舅求援
父親和母親那邊的，因為他們置身
事外：像這樣的斗室
四尺長三尺寬，窄得不夠靈魂吐氣！

Sebuah djendela menjerahkan kamar ini
pada dunia. Bulan jang menjinar kedalam
mau lebih banjak tahu.
‘Sudah lima anak bernjawa disini,
Aku salah satu!’

Ibuku tertidur dalam tersedu,
Keramaian pendjara sepi selalu,
Bapakku sendiri terbaring djemu
Matanja menatap orang tersalib dibatu!

Sekeliling dunia bunuh diri!
Aku minta adik lagi pada
Ibu dan bapakku, karena mereka berada
diluar hitungan: Kamar begini,
3 x 4 m, terlalu sempit buat meniup njawa!

A window surrenders this room
To the world. The moon that shines in
Wants to know a lot more.
"Five children live here, five!
And I'm one of them!"

My mother fall asleep, sobbing,
Prison crowds are always lonely,
Even my father stretches out, bored,
His eyes fixed on the carved-stone crucifix!

The whole world is committing suicide!
I beg for another younger brother from
My mother and father, since they're not included
In the count: A room like this,
3 yard by 4, is too tight a fit for playing at life!
