她幫我把指甲修得漂亮極了
而我卻尚未洗頭
於是問她那間髮廊比較好

她邀我聖誕節去她家玩…
許我一個全新的花樣年華

昨天用洗衣機洗衣服
今天得做手洗
讀完了泰德寫的兩個故事

Marilyn Monroe appeared to me last night
in a dream as a kind of
fairy godmother…I suppose.
I spoke, almost in tears, of how much
she and Arthur Miller meant to us,
although they could, of course,
not know us at all.

She gave me an expert manicure.
I had not wash my hair,
and asked her about hairdressers,
saying no matter where I went, they always imposed
a horrid cut on me.

She invited me to visit her during the Christmas…
promising a new, flowering life.

Did launder clothes yesterday.
Must do handwash today.
Go over Ted’s two stories.
Either draw or do German.
