Name

A thing does not exist
until the birth of its name.
And birthing commences
with a breaking,
a wail,
a discovery shrouded
with the thin, translucent skin
of pain,
baptized in the way of tears,
in exhilarating rain.
For a name is conceived in struggle,
and it is born in pain.
