巴黎帝(國)旅館

30年後重遊故地
我走過這家旅館門前
但沒走進去
只在轉角的咖啡店逗留了一下
就像以前在隔天早上
我們去吃早餐牛角麵包那樣

置身泛著光澤的桌椅間
簡直就像那一次次愛的夜晚
享盡也給足喜樂的每夜
(23歲真是太美了,親愛的)
在廉價旅館的房間
拉起厚厚的絨布窗簾
燃起一根蠟燭

脫掉衣服時,妳說
吹熄了吧!
熄滅後,室內通亮了起來
妳的身體在發光

幽暗的房間
厚厚的絨布窗簾遮住的房間
被點亮了,至今
仍在燃燒

遙遠的記憶中
那個熙來攘往的巴黎
已變了樣貌

我真的在
那一夜
吹熄了蠟燭嗎?

Berkunjung lagi setelah 30 tahun,
aku lewat di depan Hotelnya,
tapi tak masuk--
hanya mampir di Café, café di pojok itu
seperti esok paginya,
ketika kita sarapan Croissant

sekarang dengan meja kursi berkilat,
nyaris mengingatkan malam-malam cinta,
malam-malam menerima dan member Nikmat
(Umur 23 terlalu indah, Manis)
Di kamar-kamar hotel murah
Bergorden beledru tebal
Diterangi sebuah lilin

Ketika kau copot pakaian, berkata
Padamkan saja!
Kupadamkan, lalu kamar bertambah terang
Oleh cahaya tubuhmu

di kamar remang
di kamar bergorden beledru tebal
diterangi cahaya, kini
ternyata masih menyala

di relung kenangan
di tengah keramaian Paris
yang sudah berubah

Apakah memang pasti
malam itu
Lilin kupadamkan?

A visitor after thirty years
I pass the hotel,
and do not go in--
I stop at the café on the corner,
as we used to do
for morning croissants.

The furniture shines now.
I can almost remember our nights of love,
nights of giving and receiving pleasure
(Twenty-three is a beautiful age)
in cheap hotel rooms
with thick velvet curtains
lit by a single candle.

As you undressed you said:
Blow out the candle!
I blew out the candle, and the room glowed
with the brightness of your body

In a dark room
with thick velvet curtains
a light burned, and
still glows today

in a corner of my mind
in busy Paris
which has changed beyond all recognition

Did I really
blow out the candle
that night?
