上游的船帶來上游的物產

停在漲潮的小河灣

載著棕櫚糖與各式各樣的荳莢

當你正要靠近的時候

一艘漁船帶來鮮魚和漁貨

停在漲潮的小河灣

載著大蝦和各式各樣的魚

當你正要靠近的時候

靠近岸邊有艘陶工的竹筏

停在漲潮的小河灣

載著數百個花瓶和各種器皿

當你正要靠近的時候

靠近岸邊有賣竹子的竹筏

停在漲潮的小河灣

載著細長的修竹與各種竹器

當你正要靠近的時候

布袋蓮乘著水流與漲潮而來

一次次頑強地上下搖曳

「有東西要賣嗎？」「不像別人，我沒有」

藍色上點綴著黃色，快樂的在水流中

順從著漲潮

在這蜿蜒水漲的小河灣

她顧著舖子

An up-country boat with up-country products

rests in the tidal creek

Jagery and all kinds of peas.

By while you come upon them.

A fisherman’s boat with fish and fish products

rests in the tidal creek.

Giant shrimps and all kinds of fish.

By while you come upon them.

Close to the bank a potter’s raft

rests in the tidal creek.

holds a hundred vases and sorts of other pots.

By while you come upon them.

Close to the bank a bamboo raft

rests in the tidal creek.

Slender bamboo and many other kinds.

By while you come upon them.

The hyacinth rides the flow and ebb of tide,

up and down, doggedly, again and again.

“Anything to sell?” “None, unlike others.”

Yellow on blue. Happy in the flow

and accepting the ebb

in this winding tidal creek

she keeps shop.
