ditepi djurang
napsu
jang sudah lepas terhembus,
antara daun-daunan mengelabu
kabut tjinta lama, tjinta hilang
Terasa gentar sedjenak
Ina Mia menekan tapak dihidjau rumput,
Angina ikut
—dajang penghabisan jang mengipas—
Berpaling
kelihatan seorang serdadu mempertjepat langkah ditekongan.

—it's just turned light—
Ina Mia tries to find
The heart of her dream.
Ina Mia touches, groping,
Only the rind of hope
Ina Mia
Takes a long breath
Along the edge of the valley
Of passion
That's been blown away.
Among the leaves gone gray as dust
The mist of an old love, a lost love
Is felt trembling for a moment.
Ina Mia stands on the green grass
A breeze springs up
—The last of the fan-waving girls—
She turns away
There’s a soldier hurrying around the corner.
