我的目的不是要擺脫宿命，
那各自孤獨的宿命。
我從眾人中選擇了妳，但是
我們最終不該又被困在寂寞中。
我有時確實很想要妳，
在漫漫長夜，又回到了少年時，
我們只管擁抱不會無聊，
覺得我離了妳不行。
但別將妳我的生活連在一起，
我本就無法長久與人相伴
這次地我依舊是動筆舟中，於無名的海！

[Pemberian Tahu]

Bukan maksudku mau berbagi nasib,
nasib adalah kesunjian masing-masing.
Kupilih kau dari jang banjak, tapi
sebentar kita sudah dalam sepi lagi terdjaring.
Aku pernah ingin benar padamu,
Dimalam raja, mendjadi kanak-kanak kembali,
Kita berpeluk tjuman tidak djemu,
Rasa tak sanggup kau kulepaskan.
Djangan satukan hidupmu dengan hidupku,
Aku memang tidak bisa lama bersama
Ini djuga kutulis dikapal, dilaut tidak bernama!


[A Proclamation]

I don’t intend to share fate,
Fate which is a universal loneliness.
I chose you out of the lot of them, but
It won’t be long before we’re tangled in loneliness again.
Once I really wanted you:
In the vast night, becoming little children again,
We kissed and clung and were never bored,
I felt I could never let you go.
Don’t tie your life to mine,
I can’t be with anyone for long.
And this, too, I’m writing on board ship,
From the sea that has no name!
