狂風暴雨天
令人想到「森林大火」
如此一來何處有
和平與安寧？
唯有死
或許這寂靜只不過是枯槁
正因抱元歸一永遠安息
超越了悲與喜
毋需面對紅塵與慾望
無知無覺地躺著
如碎舟沉海底
被大浪襲擾
或是：
曾面向光明
又融入虛無
……………
神啊！我的身體在燒――全都模糊
我終於跨越了界限
回頭？門已重重甩上

註：「森林大火」為Raden Saleh Syarif Bustama(1807-1880)之名畫，畫中森林的動物被困在大火與深谷之間。

Dunia badai dan topan
Manusia mengingatkan “Kebakaran dihutan.”
Djadi kemana
Untuk damai dan reda?
Mati.
Barang kali ini diam kaku sadja
dengan ketenangan selama bersatu
mengatasi suka dan duka
kekebalan terhadap debu dan nafsu.
Berbaring tak sedar
Seperti kapal petjah didasar lautan
djemu dipukul ombak besar.
Atau ini.
peleburan dalam Tiada
dan sekali akan menghadap tjahaja.
………………………
Ja Allah! Badanku terbakar—segala samara.
Aku sudah melewati batas.
Kembali? Pintu tertutup dengan keras.

[The Voice of the Night]

The world of hurricanes and storms
Makes one think of “Forest Fire.”
And where can we hunt for
Peace and calm?
Death.
Perhaps this silence is only stiff,
Calm while in one piece,
Rising above pleasure and sorrow,
Immune to dust and desire.
To lie down unconscious
Like a broken ship at the bottom of the ocean
Beaten by monotonous waves.
Or this:
Dissolving into Nothingness
And just once facing the light.
………………………
Oh God! My body is on fire—everything is blurred.
I’ve gone too far.
Come back? The door is slamming with a loud crash.
